SENIOR HATHA YOGA
Senior Hatha Yoga is a gentle, adaptable form of Hatha Yoga designed for older adults, typically 60 plus, though anyone wanting a slower, kinder practice fits right in.
Here’s what defines it:
Slower, mindful movement
Postures are done unhurriedly, with time to feel each stretch and transition. Nothing rushed, nothing forced.
Supportive and accessible
Chairs, blocks, straps, cushions, and walls are welcome partners. Many poses can be done seated or holding on for balance.
Gentle breathing / (Pranayama)
Simple breathing techniques to calm the nervous system, support lung health, and improve focus without strain.
Balance and fall prevention
Special attention is given to balance, leg strength, and coordination to support everyday confidence in movement.
Joint mobility and strength
Movements help keep hips, knees, shoulders, and spine mobile while building light, functional strength.
Mind–body connection
Classes finish with relaxation. and sometimes a guided rest or Yoga Nidra inspired pause.
CHAIR YOGA
Chair yoga is a great way for older adults and elderlies to get the health benefits of yoga.
Staying seated means that even frail seniors or those who aren’t flexible can safely do the exercises.
Key Benefits for Seniors

PRANAYAMA
Pranayama is yoga’s art of breathing on purpose.
It is an important practice at the end of a Hatha Yoga class
The word comes from Sanskrit. Prana is life energy,
“Ayama ” means lengthening
In practice, it means breathing with attention rather than on autopilot. By changing how you inhale, exhale, pause, or rhythmically cycle the breath, you gently steer the nervous system. The body becomes steady, the breath becomes refined, and the mind naturally grows quieter

DEEP RELAXATION / Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation practice where the body rests deeply while the mind stays gently aware. You usually lie down comfortably, close your eyes, and follow a spoken guidance that leads your attention through the body, the breath, sensations, emotions, and images.
What makes Yoga Nidra special:
• The body enters profound rest, similar to deep sleep
• The mind stays conscious, calm, and receptive
• It can support better sleep, emotional balance, and mental clarity

KUNDALINI YOGA
Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic and inward-focused form of yoga that works with energy as much as with muscles and breath . Kundalini Yoga aims to awaken and guide this energy upward through the energy centers of the body, cultivating awareness, vitality, and expanded consciousness.
What makes Yoga Nidra special:
